The Simple Facts

As we age the simple fact is that it pays to be healthy and fit, maintaining strength, balance and flexibility. Therefore these attributes make a huge difference to our satisfaction and fulfilment in life. And it’s never to late to be that. One of the very important aspects to a healthy body is having and maintaining these attributes.

 

 

We tend to underestimate how much maintaining  balance contributes to living life successfully and productively.
Everything we do relies heavily on our ability to balance, yet maintaining physical    skills is one of the most underrated aspects of well-being. As we age, we gradually start to lose our muscle strength, vision and sensory perception, all things that contribute to our ability to balance. As a result, our flexibility and mobility can be compromised and lack of mobility can lead to falling, which can lead to a whole new set of health issues and nobody wants that.                                                                                                                                                            

When physical balance is a learned skill that can be maintained and improved by practice, then  that’s good news. Exercises can strengthen our self-perception which can help the body to better position our muscles. This also allows us to sense where our body needs to be without looking. In addition, practicing builds muscle and increases range of motion in the joints, which helps in distributing weight evenly, creating overall stability.

Therefor mastering more balance in life increase your quality of life and longevity.  Hence finding a class  focusing on training and improving skills will also improve your strength, flexibility and mobility. A win/win all around. You’ll have more energy, function better and move freely. Whether you are a busy mom, an executive or an athlete-in-training, the benefits of balance will carry over into your other workouts. Surprisingly making a difference in many areas of your life.
